Pastrami sandwich with roast beef, caramelized onions and Patasnella Una tira L'Altra
Difficulty
  • 1 pack of Patasnella Una Tira L'Altra
  • 500g whole roast beef cooked (or 500g smoked beef brisket)
  • 4 slices of cereal bread (like toast)
  • semi-hard cheese such as Gruyere
  • 6 friggitelli green peppers
  • 3 red Tropea onions
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 200 cl of water
  • salt, pepper, butter to taste for the pan
Preparation
For the pastrami sandwich:
Cut the onions into rings. Pour them into a pan, add the sugar and water and cook for about an hour until they appear caramelized.
Cut the gruyere cheese with the mandolin into very thin strips. Cook the frigittelli in a pan until the skin makes a dark crust.
At this point melt some butter in a pan. Place the slices of cereal bread and cook them 2-3 minutes per side until the surface is golden.
Proceed to the composition of the sandwich. Put a slice of cereal bread as a base. Take the roast beef and add plenty of pastrami slices to create several layers (at least 5/6). Place the friggitelli on top, then the strips of cheese, and finally the caramelized onions. Close the sandwich with the second slice of cereal bread.

For the fries:
Preheat the oven to 220°C, place the Patasnella Una tira L'Altra on a baking tray covered with parchment paper and bake them in a fan oven for about 12 minutes. Remove from the oven and taste immediately!
